Typing -My hobbies-

My hobbies are playing volleyball and playing the piano. I am playing volleyball since I was in the 4th grade in elementary school. And I am playing the piano since I was 4 years old, but recently I’m not play the piano so I can’t play the piano used to be. When I go back to my parent’ house, I will practice it. I am a member of volleyball club at KGU. I practice every day at night. I think volleyball is interesting sport when there are many rallies in the match. I will enjoy playing volleyball during I can play. I’m going to take referee license before long.

Today is the last day on April.
And GW began.

Last year, I went back to my hometown, but I can't go back this year, because I have club  practice.
I want to see my grandparents. Cuz I like my grandparents very much.

My grandfather is interesting person.
One day, he called me my cellphone and said,
"Hello, this is Okuchi police station."
But I wasn't surprised because  my cellphone displayed the name 'grandpa'.
I said, "Oh, really? But I'm in Kumamoto now. Sorry."
Then he said "Come back as soon as possible! And you have to call me occasionally!"

He missed so he calls me.

I think I see him soon  if I have time.
And I am going to speak my grandparents with Kagoshima-ben.

Typing -Music I like-

I like music very much. I like listening to music and also like playing the piano, but I can’t sing well. My favorite singer is 19(juuku). Sometime I listen to Soner Pocket, Caramel Peppers and so on. 19 is not make songs now, but I often listen their music at ipod. When I go back to my home, I play their songs on the piano. I recommend “Gasoline”. I like the song very much. And I like English music too. I often listen to Jacks Mannequin and Back Street Boys. They are little old singer, but I don’t matter because their rhythm so nice.

It has already starded first class. I worried about how is the new Writing class because I heard the class has a lot of homework and difficult. I'm confusing. I still have lot more to work on, but I enjoy my school life and do my best.

Essay 1-01a: A Letter to host family

      Hello, I’m Nana. I’m nineteen years old. I’m from Kagoshima. I’m a student at KGU, so I live in a dormitory in Kumamoto now. I really enjoy Kumamoto and my school life.

      I introduce my family. There are four people in my family. I have my father, my mother and my older sister. My father and mother work at city hall. Recently, my mother began to study English, because some foreigners come to city hall. She has to speak English. And I often go to English lessons with her when I go back to my hometown. I used to study English there. My father sometimes visits my room, and we go shopping and eat lunch. He is very kind. My sister is two years older than me. She is a student at Kagoshima University and she is studying medicine in order to be a doctor. I look up to her because she is good at English. I want to be like her.

      I like to play volleyball. Do you like volley ball or other sports? I have played it since I was in the fourth grade in elementary school. I’m not belonging to the volleyball club now, but I will join the club next year. This year was the first time I came to Kumamoto, so I was not acclimated to the new land.

     And I also like to read comic books. I read “ONE PIECE.” Do you know it? It is worth reading at least once. If I go your country, I want to find comic books which are written by Japanese.

     I stayed with a family in Auckland, New Zealand when I was fourteen years old, so this is not the first time to stay abroad, but I’m nervous. I hope I can spend good days with you. I’m looking forward to seeing you.

March

In March news

On Mar. 10th, I went to a gymnasium because my cousin played volleyball game there. Then I met Mr. Minami. He is a volleyball teacher. I like him so I talked many things. He advised me to taking referee’s license. I will take license someday. After that, I went to Ichiki junior high school to play volleyball. I had nice day :)

Five days later, I held “Takopa” with my friends. Takopa is a shortened form of “Takoyaki party.” We put octopus, cheese and sausage into Takoyaki. We ate many Takoyaki and enjoyed talking. I want to gather again.

Next day, I enjoyed piano concerto with my mother. In there I found a girl who is same hometown. She is elementary schoolchild but her performance was wonderful. I also play the piano when I was a girl, but I can’t play like her.

Next week, I and my friend Anna help my English cram school teacher. We decollate the classroom for Easter Day. We made paper flower, blew up balloons and drew posters. I want to show but I forgot to take picture… It was pretty good work, even if I do say so myself. The work had been until 7 o’clock from 2 o’clock, but we enjoyed working. I want to do again:)

The Next day I went to my sister’s house with my mother. I drove to there. Then we ate Sushi for lunch, but I don’t like row fish so I ate except fish. Everyone say to me it makes no sense. Then my sister drove on my way home. Her drive is so scary because she speeding up at the curve in the road and end of the curve she put on the brakes. I felt it had taken years off my life.

On March 26th, I came back to Kumamoto. My sister and my cousin looked at my room and say, “How small it is!” I think so too…
