Already it is end of July!
How fast the days passt!

And this season is test season.
I finished six tests. And today is Power Woeds test.
But I'm worring about Hitory of England and enviromental theory.

BR 1-15: Amber the Orange Fairy

And there, sitting inside the smooth, peach-colored shell, was Amber the Orange Fairy. (p. 21)

This book is sequel to "Ruby the Red Fairy". Two girls have already found one Rainbow Fairy, Ruby. But they have to find and rescue other Rainbow Fairy. In this book, they found a Rainbow Fairy. This story like this.

Rachel Walker and her friend Kiesty Tate were running along Rainspell Island's yellow, sandy beach. Two girls walked along the beach looking for shells. Then they found a large scallop shell. It was much bigger than the other shells on beach. It was a light peach color with soft orange streaks, and it was tightly closed. Inside the shell, a tiny voice hummed softly! They try to open it but it can't open. If they tap the shell on a rock, that might hurt the fairy. They think hard what they can do. Then Rachel remember that the magic bags the Fairy Queen gave them. So they use it and try to open it.

It is the story which I can tell you. If you read this book, you can know what happen to them and is it open. This book is not difficult and easy to read. So, I recommend this book to everyone. Please try to read.

Essay 1-03b: Language Learning History

I was born in Japan and I brought up in Japan, so my mother tongue is Japanese. But I have learned not only Japanese but also other languages. And I am in the Department of Foreign language. I’m learning English every day. I will tell about what languages I have learned, why I want to learn and how I learned that languages. 

When I was a child attending kindergarten, I touched English. It was a first time I touched foreign language. The reason why I try to study English is my older sister was learning English, and then I would like to have come to learn it. I learned alphabet and conversation. I enjoyed learning English with singing English songs. I learned English at kindergarten until I finish kindergarten.

I was change the place to learn English when I entered elementary school. But I learn it from a same teacher. The teacher opened English school. It named L&C English house. I want to there until I graduate high school. I learned conversation and study for Eiken. So, my speaking skill, listening skill, reading skill and writing skill have made progress. In my elementary school, it started to English class when I was in 5th grade. It was too easy for me. I learned alphabet and conversation again.

Two years later, I entered junior high school. I learned English grammar for the first time. I have never learned before, so it was difficult to understand. And I have many chances to speak foreigner. My private English conversation teachers were Americans or Australians and so on. And my school ALT came from Malaysia. I used to speak with her. She taught me English and I taught her Kagoshima dialect. Also I began to learn Japanese classical literature. I like it. 

I was 14 years old, I went to New Zealand. It was home stay program and it was first time to go abroad. I’m good at listening, but I’m not good speaking. So, I made myself understood by gesture. I learned history of NZ in English and I learned Korean from my Korean friends. They were good at Japanese, so they taught me the means which words I couldn’t understand. I learned not only English but also Korean in NZ.

In high school, I studied Japanese, the classic and English. I was putting a great deal of effort into classical Japanese because I liked my Japanese teacher and I was interested in classical Japanese. But I didn’t take Japanese course at university. I thought English will be important in the future. And I thought that low to get job if I take Japanese course. Then I went to KGU to improve my English ability. I’m learning English: writing, reading, listening and speaking. And I took German class last year. It was interesting to learn unknowing language. I learned German grammar and conversation. So, I’m able to speak German a little.

In conclusion, I learned Japanese, classical Japanese, English, Korean and German by now. It is fun for me to learn foreign languages. Still, I can’t speak English fluently and can’t make myself understood in English. So, I want to be able to speak it fluently and express myself in English. In order to achieve this aim, I have to improve my English ability, so I’m going to study more hard. And I want to learn other language, Chinese and Korean. I think a lot of these speakers visit to Japan, so it will come more chance to speak Chinese or Korean. And also I want to be able to speak standard Japanese.

BR 1-14: Ruby the Red Fairy

The fairy flew over Rachel's and Kirsty's head. (p. 23)

I chose this book because my friend read this series. This series have level three and two. I read level two. Level three is twice as many words as the level two, so I thought it is hard for me to read a week.

This story is like this. Rachel and Kirsty heard the story that the pot of gold at the end of rainbow. So they decide to find it.They was thinking it is just a fairy tales, but they find it at the end of the rainbow! And they heard sounds from inside. They tured over it, a red fairy flew out of the pot. The fairy was need to help. The course of the happen was such and such. Fairyland is home to seven colorful sisters and they are the Rainbow Fairies. But when evil Jack Frost sends them far away, the sisters are in big trouble. If they don't return soon, Fairyland is doomed to be gray forever. So, Rachel and Kirsty go to journey to find other fairies.

This story is continue next book. I will read this series and read through its series. I recommend that eveyone. Let's read through together!

  • Japanese phonetics
 I found mistake because Japanese phonetics' teacher checked my answer and smiled.
I fell into his trap...


On Friday, I have inter-cultural communication.

Typing: Vacation Plans

My vacation plans are very simple. I will practice volleyball and part time job in summer vacation. Practice is almost every day except every Monday. Bon holiday is only two days. I can’t go back my hometown as last year. One year ago, I spent vacation at there. But I will spend this summer in Kumamoto. So, I decide to work and make money. I can’t meet my local friends but I will enjoy this summer with my friends in Kumamoto. And my room will be so hot, but I don’t use air-conditioning, try as hard as possible. I will be an economical person!!

BR 1-13: Days With Frog and Toad

"I will do it tomorrow," said Toad. (p. 5)

I chose this book because I have read when I was in the elementary school. At the time, I read this book in Japanese, but this time I read in English. I don't like frogs but I like this story.

This story about this. Frog and Toad enjoy spending their days together. They fly kites, celebrate Toad's birthday, and share the shivers when Frog tells a scary story. Most of all, they have fun together every day of the year.
I think they are good friends. They think about each other and They know about each other. They are sharing happy things and sad things. And Frog is so kind. If you read this book, you will know how kind he is.

I want to read other series. I recommend that everyone. Plaese try it and tell your impression of this book.

July 10


Yesterday was history of American literature’s test. So, I studied hard….For me.
Then I went to school. I worried about I forget something.
I reached class room, I looked in my bag. I forgot my notes!!
My notes stayed at home. I review textbook and my friend’s notes.
The test was not good. I didn’t write much right side of the sheet.
I wish I could take a credit.

Then this evening I ate dinner with my friends.
We ate a lot of dishes and drank.
There were so delicious:) And we enjoyed talking.
A woman was birthday, so we celebrated her with her friends.
She was stranger but we celebrate her. We knew she is KGU student later.
I think it is important to fit there atmosphere and energy.

And I was hard to wake up this morning. I wanted to sleep more but I have no time and my room was so hot, so I couldn’t sleep more.
I’m looking forward to weekend.

July 7

It was sunny today, I aired my quilt and compress it.
So, my bed became larger than before and not hot.

And today is July 7.
It is the day of the Star Festival.
I used to make a lot of Star Festival decorations when I was a little girl.
My grandfather took a big bamboo from nearby forest. Then I decorated.
But Star Festival is August 7 in Kagoshima.

My grandfather always floated the bamboo after Star Festival.
I thought it was common, but it was unusual. Everyone burned it.
I knew that recently.
My grandfather said that it is wasteful to burn it, so he brings it to river.
I think it was troublesome. People say “Don’t throw trash in the river.”
It is a bulky waste, not to mention waste.
I think it couldn’t float. It is too big to float.
And nobody stopped him… Oh, my family! Why did not stop him?

BR 1-12: The Gingerbread Man


So the little old woman decided to make a boy out of gingerbread. (p. 8)

I chose this book because its illustration is cute and I was hungry when chosing the book. This story is A little old woman and man had no children, and they were very sad, so they made a gingerbread man! 

A little old woman made gingerbread man, but when she opens the oven door, he runs away. Soon, everyone in the village is chasing after him because the ginger man looked good and everyone wanted to eat him. If you read this book, you can know who eat Gingerbread Man. 
This book is too easy to read. So, everyone can read this book easily. I recommend that beginners.

Typing -About blogging-

I am in a hurry to write 10,000 words. But it is hard for me to blogging every week and writes 10,000 words. I think if I were work hard when it began. I wrote about 7,000 words now. About 3,000 words I have to write this month. I wonder I can finish it. I think, however, thanks to this assignment, I became to read English books and I’m able to write my ideas and feeling in English. I’m not what I used to be! I have no more time until its deadline. It is say that “It is no use crying over spilt milk.” I only have to do my best!

Essay 1-03a: Language Learning History

In the future, also I want to study history because I learned only languages. I was said that if you want to speak foreigner, you have to learn their history. So, I have to study history. But I don’t like history class. First of all, I must do what I can do now. Then I will study history and other languages which I don’t have learned.

Today, I found funny thing on my way home.
It was in the shop. It is said “春夏冬中”

I wasn’t realized what it saying. I consider spring can read as “shun”, summer can read as “ka” and winter can read as “tou”. But I couldn’t understand.
I wonder at why it has not “秋”. It is without autumn. Without autumn... Then I hit upon an idea.
It doesn’t have “aki”. It is saying “Akinai-chu.” It means “Open”!
When I realized that mean, I laughed. And I thought it is hard to understand!
I want to see another pattern next.

BR 1-11: The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs

One morning he found something strange. (p. 16)

I chose this book because I interested in golden eggs. This story is like this. Tom and Elena poor but happy until the day Tom finds that their little white goose has laid a golden egg. Every morning they find another egg, every day they grow richer. But what happens when one golden egg a day just isn’t enough.

If I found golden egg, I will eat it. And I will sell it from next eggs. But I wonder it can eat. If it can't eat, it is not egg just gold. So, people must not call it "egg". I want to see real golden eggs.

Today is July 1.
It already passed a half year since 2012 began.

I spent all day in my room.
I read a book and washing and so on.
The book’s name is The Black Cat and The Murders in the Rue Morgue.
It is written by Edgar Allan Poe. But I read this book in Japanese.
It was so interesting. I thought these stories are horror novel, but it was not.
The beginning is say generalization dispassionately, but it was novel appear the tale as real experience from the middle of story.
I want to read another one.

And I received a box from my mother.
There were a lot of foods and rice in it. Also in 500 yen coins with letter.
It was from my grandparents.
I’m saving 500 yen in moneybox, so they give me 500 yen.
I will go back my parents’ house and see my grandparents during three straight holidays this month.
I’m looking forward to seeing them. I can hardly wait for it.
